KATIE FEINSTIX
Katie is a lifelong athlete with a passion for practicing and teaching yoga and movement. After pursuing her graduate degree in Physical Education, she began her teaching career in 2008, teaching PE to elementary school students. During her 5 years of teaching in the gymnasium, she began practicing yoga, and immediately became obsessed. Katie pursued her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Yoga Haven under mentor Betsy Kase. With one fitness class and one yoga class on her weekly schedule, Katie made the leap into teaching yoga and personal training full time, one of the best decisions of her life.
With a combination of group classes, private training sessions, private/small group yoga sessions, and coaching high school tennis, Katie loves bringing/teaching fitness, sport, and yoga to people of all ages and abilities. She is inspired to help her clients increase fitness levels and explore their bodies through exercise and yoga. A certified personal trainer, Katie uses her experiences to create personalized sessions to build stability, flexibility, and strength in order to help clients move more efficiently, cultivate awareness, and sustain a healthy lifestyle.
Katie’s greatest joy is spending time with her family – her wife Jacqui, son Zander, and dog Zeppelin. They can often be found exploring the mountains of New Paltz, checking out some live music, or picnicking at a vineyard.
